Drug abusers need to stop being treated as criminals, they have an illness, sure many don't want to be treated and that is part of the problem. I worked as a judge at this primary’s election poll…and…based on the kind of intelligence I had seen from “eligible” voters…well if youngsters can pass a competency test which includes relative issues…why not?

Then, if people can't even be competent enough members of society to not commit felonies, how can they be competent enough members of society to vote?

Your information is old and out of date, btw. Few states currently impose permanent disenfranchisement upon convicted felons, most allow felons to vote again once their sentence (which may include probation/parole) has been completed, and of those who don't automatically restore voting rights after sentence completion refuse to do so ONLY if the felony committed had something to do with voting FRAUD.

Anyone committing voter fraud SHOULD be prohibited from voting.

And anyone plagiarizing articles like this and claiming them as their own should be expelled from JU.

Black people, instead of complaining about disenfranchisement, should just stop committing the crimes that lead to it.
